Youth Leadership Program

Mission Statement:

The Mission of Leadership Donelson Hermitage is to enhance leadership abilities, address issues and improve the quality of life in the community.

Objectives

• Provide youth the opportunity to hear from and interact with decision makers in the community
• Instill in each participant a commitment for and pride in the Donelson/Hermitage community
• Expose participants to leaders in the Donelson/Hermitage area
• Broaden participants understanding of leadership
• Create, through the activities and programs of YLDH, a fun, exciting and life- lasting experience for each participant
• Inspire each individual to make a difference
• Enhance individual leadership skills
• Encourage participants to advocate on quality of life issues

Leadership Programs

Each program day will provide youth with an opportunity to have an inside look into the many facets of our community, meet the people who make it happen, and explore for themselves the business and career opportunities for the future.

Program Days include:

• Retreat & Orientation
• Community Service Day
• Healthcare Day (with adult Leadership Program)
• Diversity Day
• Life skills Day
• Government Day
• Chamber of Commerce General Membership Meeting
• Arts & Entertainment Day (with adult Leadership Program)
• Graduation
