Leadership Donelson Hermitage is a community based organization that provides participants with insight into how our community functions, its cultural and organizational differences, and an opportunity to meet and network with other community leaders. Class days include leadership skills, teamwork, and group development training. Topics that impact the community such as wellness, criminal justice, business development, government, education, sports and the arts are the focus of the monthly program days. You will experience opportunities that will enrich your life. Leadership is a vital component in the success and economic future of the Donelson Hermitage area.
We are excited to begin our eleventh class in August of this year. Applicants must be residents and/or employed full time in Donelson, Hermitage, or adjacent areas. Our goal is to have a diverse class representative of Donelson Hermitage demographics. Leadership Donelson Hermitage is a nonpartisan educational organization designed to produce well informed and motivated community leaders who are willing and capable of working together for a better Donelson Hermitage.

The tentative 2009 class schedule is listed below. Participants are asked to commit to attending the opening Orientation, and no less than seven (7) of the eight (8) monthly Tuesday programs.
Attendance at the two-day Retreat is mandatory.

The Leadership Donelson Hermitage Selection Committee will interview applicants and recommend individuals for the class. Your interview will be scheduled upon receipt of your application and each applicant will be notified by letter of his/her status by May 19, 2008. Selection Committee interview dates will be: April 9, 16 & 23. Scholarship Interview date is April 24th.
Please do not enclose your check with the completed application. Upon notification of acceptance, the 2009 class fee of $500 will be due and payable to Leadership Donelson Hermitage upon receipt of invoice. Limited partial scholarships will be available for the 2009 class. Scholarship applications are available on our website. The scholarship application must accompany the Leadership application.
